Solar greenhouses are designed to capture heat from the sun’s rays and are typically used to keep plants warm during cold weather. The structure is made from a transparent material, such as glass, to maximize solar heat gain and incorporates thermal mass to absorb thermal energy during the day and re-radiate the heat back at night when the temperatures drop.
